This is the 1st 3 Stanzas of "Did man thus love as I?" from the 19th song from the 2nd Booke of Robert Jones, 1601.The song has 5 stanzas and the last 2 are on SoundCloud. This is my best take, Take 5 that got to 3 stanzas
Elisha Zaporelostzi's first performances were the Open Stages put on by the Bytown Live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. It is how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell started.
Phreap magazine is a one page thing that went around Ottawa in the 1980s. Now it is a web site;

With the help of Joe-Charly Smith, Molly Ding, Calhoon-Fred Febealie, and Butter Jones I was able to put out Phreap magazine.
Story behind the song
This is the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Stanza of "Did man thus love as I?" from the 19th song from the 2nd Booke of Robert Jones, 1601.
The song has 5 stanzas but on 3 takes I only got as far as one stanza.
This is my best take, Take 5 that got to 3 stanzas and I sang the 1st 3 stanzas of this song on this take.
I am posting this Take 5 version of the song here and another version only on SoundCloud where I have spliced 3 of the earlier takes together to give you the opportunity to hear all 5 stanzas.
Take 4 was good and I sang the 1st stanza on it and I spliced Take 2 onto it where I sang the 4th stanza and lastly I spliced Take 3 onto it where I sang the 5th stanza.
My recordings of "Did man thus love as I?" were done from March 25, 2015 to September 3, 2015 on 10 days.
I did 5 takes of the song. The sessions went well and I think this is one of the best Shakespearean era songs that I have done. (Around the same time I was also recording XII. Whither runneth my sweet heart?" from the same booke)
This make the count total, "4 songs" (from the 21 songs in the booke) that I have posted and all the recording went rather well for me.
XII. Whither runneth my sweet heart?
XV. Dainty darling kind and free
XVI. My love is neither young nor old
XIX. Did ever man thus love as I?

Lyrics
IX. DID EVER MAN THUS LOVE AS I?
1.
Did man thus love as I?
I think I was made, I think I was made,
I think I was made
For no other trade,
My mind doth it so hard apply,
And all fond courses,
2.
Undoing were a petty care,
Loosing my best hopes, loosing my best hopes,
loosing my best hopes
In their largest scopes.
Two loving when I do compare,
Methinks I could,
methinks I could as trifles spare.
3.
All my sad thoughts, though wide begun,
In her still do meet, in her still do meet,
in her still do meet,
Who makes thinking sweet;
And then to me again they run
To tell me all,
to tell me all that they have done.
4.
Thus do I spend my days and hours
In a pleasant round, in a pleasant round,
in a pleasant round
Where true joys are found,
And there alone my soul devours
All Love's dear food,
all Love's dear food with longing powers.
5.
A heaven on earth is love well met;
There is more content, there is more content,
there is more content
Than can well be spent.
When in two fruitful hearts 'tis set,
Which will not be,
Which will not be in either debt.
