Artist picture
Acoustic folk/folk-rock original singer-songwriters.
We are the remnants of a rock, turned folk turned folk-rock band (named "Open Road") that played together in the 70's and 80's. Today, Mark Porro and Vance Grazio continue writing and performing songs in the genre of those singer-songwriters who influenced us. We, along with recently added bassist Mike LaPierre, have formed this performing and recording trio known as "Currier Square" (named after the childhood neighborhood of Mark and Vance). We also collaborate with former bandmates and other musicians in these endeavors (Mark D. Hastings, Craig Whitson among others)

Lyrics
Silver Thread words & music: Mark E. Porro c 2019 When I close my eyes, I see their faces Hear their voices in my head And I wait for them to tell me What broke their silver thread Those whove gone had hopes and dreams And once shared this earthly plane With the ones who search for answers And the words that might explain As the silver thread that ties us to this world Slowly unravels and frays And as time passes so quickly, we begin to face the truth So, we try to make the most of every day Let their spirits ride the summer wind Let them dance among the clouds Let the heavens shed its bitter tears And cast a mournful shroud These empty mortal vessels That once held their vibrant souls Are crossing over heavens bridge Where peaceful waters flow As the silver thread that ties us to this world Slowly unravels and frays And as time passes so quickly, we begin to face the truth So, we try to make the most of every day We should try to make the most of every day As we stumble through the darkness Of another moonless night Tearing at the mask that blocks our sight We remember those whove gone before Let our memories be their light, let our memories be their light Let our memories be their light
