Story behind the song
My Tomorrows was inspired during the time my wife and I were mentoring a couple preparing for marriage in the Catholic Church. The future bride was practicing her faith on occasion and the future groom was an atheist at this point in his life. At some point in the middle of this process, our pastor presented a homily about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead and an inspiration happened. When Martha proclaimed that her brother would not have died if Jesus had been there, I wondered if the future grooms faith might have been saved if Jesus had been there. We all know though that our perception of Jesus not always being present with us or being indifferent to our needs is just not consistent with someone who is Love. He has a plan for each and every one of us! Sometimes His silence is a call for us to act in faith. He could have rolled the stone away for Lazarus to come out but he wanted those watching to act in faith. Lets face it, we all have a stone with our name on it that Jesus wants us to roll away, if you believe, you will see the glory of God and experience all of His tomorrows!
