A pretty straight ahead recreation of Buddy's famous song.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
An old favourite. A nice song to play and sing. Capo on the 4th fret as it is on Buddy's version.
Lyrics
Buddy Holly Well ... Alright Well, all right, so I'm being foolish Well, all right, let people know About the dreams and wishes you wish In the night when the lights are low Well, all right, well all right We'll live and love with all our might Well, all right, well all right Our lifetime love will be all right Well, all right, so I'm going steady It's all right when people say That those foolish kids can't be ready For the love that comes their way Well, all right, well, all right We'll live and love with all our might Well, all right, well, all right Our lifetime love will be all right Well, all right, well, all right We'll live and love with all our might Well, all right, well, all right Our lifetime love will be all right

I first heard this by Blind Faith and later found out it was a cover. I can't recall the original version but I like your version and the mix and playing is superb, David!!!

The great Buddy Holly would have enjoyed this version I think. I saw a play a few years ago called "The Million Dollar Quartet"....was about a jam session with Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. Was really good. I often wonder how Holly's career would have gone had the tragedy not happened. In any case, his music has stood the test of time and still resonates with people today.

I'm very familiar with the original, and this is probably the way he originally wrote the tune, a refreshing rework that Buddy would appreciate.

I'm coming at this one from a new listener's perspective as I'm not familiar with the original, but I can definitely hear that it's a Buddy Holly song. First thing that struck me is the excellent sound/production quality, top notch job on the mix. Excellent performance!
