Story behind the song
In addition to my love of well conceived science fiction, this song was inspired by the motivations of some young adults to reject material reality and peaceably seek higher consciousness, often resulting in delusions and encounters with the psychiatric system. There's often a Don Quixote sort of legitimacy to the yearnings of their grandeuristic coping mechanism. Could it be that there's a Higher Power that doesn't necessarily conform to our sense of material reality. And now, with the Pentagon admitting to the possible existence of non-earthly technology flying in our skies, who knows what's in store for humanity.
