My name is David Mallory. There are dozens of David Mallorys on the net so I go by the stage name Meglodave. This is a self deprecating name I gave myself over 25 years ago. I suffer from a form of erotomania. I have the mistaken belief that someone is in love with me and she gives me messages on the radio. I am aware of this but still Ive been unable to shake it. I know its faux pas, but as a method of coping, I have taken to making and listening to my own music using GarageBand. Most of my stuff is instrumental, but I have a few where I sing. I have a whole day worth of my own music to listen to. I Believe in Music was my first cover and the process of getting it liscensed made me rethink my game. Ive decided to post some of my music on another service where I can make it available for streaming services. This costs me a lot of money. Maybe something will happen idk. Right now downloads are free except my covers. Thank you for spending time on my site and thank you for listening. There is a lot here, I hope you find something you like.

Story behind the song
I wrote the lyrics as I was waking up. I kept my iPad in the bed and recorded voice memos, and strung them together. I think it is a song about itself. I needed a little fill so I took a bar or two of lyrics slowed them down and reversed them. Then I added echo to sound less blocky.
Lyrics
Match my credit with my evaluation. Step on it loud and cause a computation. Talk to it deep and celebrate some action. Don’t blame me if you can’t get satisfaction. Is the music there for a reason? Is there a market? Is there a season? Love ain’t there for people like me. There’ll be more of us wait and see. Was it there from the beginning? Were you there? Were you singing? I will jumble it up, and string it along And in the end I will have a song.
