Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Hidden away on the last song of Bill Nelson's 'Fancy Planets', album is the song, 'The Golden Days Of Radio (hyper mix). There is a very nice but very short twangy guitar instrumental. I'm not sure if it is a short section of a Duane Eddy tune, played by Bill Nelson or a Bill Nelson composition composed 'in the style of Duane Eddy as a tribute Either way, it's a great tune that needed more life breathing into it. I've elaborated on it and made it into the stand alone instrumental that you hear. For those of you who may be interested...I used my cherry red Yamaha Revstar 420 for all the guitar sounds on this recording and the bass was as usual, my Rickenbacker 4003. This time all the guitar amp tones were from those in the effects section of my Zoom R-24 stand alone recorder. Final mastering (not much) was done in my Adobe Audition (1.5) DAW

I can definitely hear a Duane Eddy or Shadows element in the guitar style & tone. Never heard the Bill Nelson track, but enjoyed this a lot. Great production & playing!
