I look back to last year
I sometimes catch myself with unwanted emotion
I remember how it started, so clear
I thought I was ready for this profound devotion
Was I any happier than now?
Was I in a right place to pass the blame?
Will things work themselves out, somehow?
Will you recognize that I am one and the same?
I made everything so difficult
I thought it was all was so fragile, like walking on ice
I look now, what an insult
I was not myself; everything was played on a roll of the dice
Were you worth all this trouble?
Why did I not see these mistakes I now regard?
Why was I trapped within this bubble?
Why had I let myself fall for hard?
