in prison i did pace
and sitting there across from me

i asked him how he got there
i asked him who he hurt
i asked him if he robbed someone
what was it that he took
he said he came here often
to where the locks are closed
but where one can sometimes find
a heart that isn't closed
he said i am forgiven
having said my sins
but I have some work to do
time to make amends
