Possibilities (Rich Man, Poor man) #31 Take1&2
I never thought much of this song but with a little editing you can take a bad song and make it better and it does have some better melody than some of my other songs.
Elisha Zaporelostzi's first performances were the Open Stages put on by the Bytown Live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. It is how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell started.
Phreap magazine is a one page thing that went around Ottawa in the 1980s. Now it is a web site;

With the help of Joe-Charly Smith, Molly Ding, Calhoon-Fred Febealie, and Butter Jones I was able to put out Phreap magazine.
Story behind the song
I never thought much of this song but with a little editing you can take a bad song and make it better and it does have some better melody than some of my other songs. When I was in the hospital at the turning of the year this is one of 7 songs I got ready to put chords to. This is a big splicing job of Take 1 and Take 2. I may put the full Take 2 up on my SoundCloud.
Lyrics
#31Possibilities (Rich Man, Poor man) by Patrick T. Connolly
Edited January 8, 2024
Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief,
I'll love you if you love me.
Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief,
I love you and you love me.
You showed much inability.
You weren't a likely possibility.
You never acted the way a good girl should,
(Like a bad girl shouldn't do,)
But I fell in love with you. -beep-
You told me as I walked in your door;
"I can give you something that you've never had before.
I can show you things you've never seen before."
Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief,
I'll a love you if you love me.
Rich girl, poor girl, beggar, thief,
[I love you] You stole my heart and you love me.
You showed much inability.
You weren't a likely possibility.
You never acted the way a good girl should,
(Like a bad girl shouldn't do,)
But I fell in love with you. -beep-
You can be certain you are my cup of tea. (You should certainly think so)
It will be [so] good because you've never been up this tree.
You make me happy and there's more happiness to see.
Rich girl, poor girl, [beggar] girl you're a thief,
I'll love you if you love me.
Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief,
I love you and you love me.
