That Made Me Blue #16 (Take 4)
This came to me in maybe November or December, on a lonely Friday or Saturday night, as I was walking on Lakeshore Road mostly east of Trafalgar in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. There were 2 songs, "She made me blue" and "Got The Wrong Number".
Elisha Zaporelostzi's first performances were the Open Stages put on by the Bytown Live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. It is how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell started.
Phreap magazine is a one page thing that went around Ottawa in the 1980s. Now it is a web site;

With the help of Joe-Charly Smith, Molly Ding, Calhoon-Fred Febealie, and Butter Jones I was able to put out Phreap magazine.
Story behind the song
Notes - The Writing
This came to me in maybe November or December, on a lonely Friday or Saturday night, as I was walking on Lakeshore Road mostly east of Trafalgar in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
There were 2 songs, "She made me blue" and "Got The Wrong Number" and maybe they were 1st put together a couple of years later.
I did Revising the Verses on June 10, 2019 in Urayasu, Japan.
I did the Chords & bars on June 27, 2019 and More Chords - June 28, 2019.
Writing it out as a score was started out on June 29, 2019 (at the Horie Community Centre in Urayasu.
Outro words were added to the score on May 4, 2020 and the bass notes & Outro bars & chords were composed on May 18, 2020.
On April 10, 2024 I typed the revisions.
Notes - The Numbering
I like to number songs but because I collected song scraps that I later put together the number of songs I had kept getting smaller. "She made me blue" was once #25 and "Got The Wrong Number" was #36. As these 2 scraps (like many other scraps) were put together the numbers got smaller and so this one song became #16. Later as I studied what I did, chronologically, this would be about my 12th song.
Notes - The Recordings
Recorded on Roland May 7 & 13, 2020 - Take 1
& 2 but both were lost on Zip disk.
Only Take 1 was mixed to the computer so Take 2 is totally lost.
Recorded on Roland May 15, 2020 - Take 3 & 4.
The keyboard bass may have been recorded May 18, 2020 when the bass notes were written. For Take 4, I did the 1st half with a piano bass and a sax type voice for the 2nd half - because the recorder was so dodgy I thought it would fowl up if I did a long recording.
This is the last song I could do on the the good Roland recorder with my good mics.
For Take 1, 3 & 4 an electric piano track was added by the Audacity application on April 8, 20204 and editing was done on April 10, 20204.
Lyrics
#16 That Made Me Blue
Blue, as blue as my eyes -
So Blue, (As blue as my eyes)
[Verse 1.]
Yes, I feel so blue.
I think she's glad, Now that I'm in a stew.
It made me mad, that she is so glad, that I'm so had,
O Ha, O Ha, O Ha. That made me blue.
[Middle 1]
Well, if she should phone me,
She's says I'm a Phony
She's got the wrong number.
"Hang up you caller. I don't recalls you.
You are not worth a dollar,
I say I don't receives you,
Why don't he hang up the receiver,
I've got the wrong number."
[Verse 2.]
Oh, I feel so blue.
I know she's glad, When I'm stuck in the glue.
Can anyone be that bad? We are feeling so sad. In black she is clad.
O Ha, O Ha, O Ha. That made me blue.
[Verse 3.]
I feel so blue.
We all have been had. I tell you lad it's true.
I think it's so sad, That it is so bad. I tell you my lad.
O Ha, O Ha, O Ha. That made me blue.
[Middle 2]
If she ever calls me,
She'll say I don't recall you,
She's got the wrong number.
Please disconnect me.
She does everything to upset me.
There is no hope of connecting again.
Remember your game.
I'm someone you won't regain.
We've got the wrong number.
[Out-tro]
It's a misdemeanor.
It's not for a dreamer, (so sad.)
Oh, So sad, So sad trying to track me down,
And looking on the ground,
When I am sitting way up here.
I am hanging on the phone.
I am being very strong and still the phone does ring,
But all I can do is sing.
