Story behind the song
My grandaughter really loves a lot of the same music that I do. But she can't quite internalize my spacy compositions. So regarding that music, we're literally "worlds apart". I first sat down to work on Worlds Apart with the idea I would try to bridge that gap by creating a piece that was a bit more pop-ish, had a strong beat, maybe some auto-tuned vocals and didn't stray into my usual deep space realms. And it worked for about the first minute-and-fifty-seconds of the jam. But then the music dragged me into the cosmos as usual, flying into a musical rendition of my recent electrocardiogram (complete with accompanying mental wanderings) and then drifting into a majestic and frenzied afterlife. Yep...really! And though Hailey and I both love the Beatles, we're still worlds apart on my deep space journeys. Love ya Hailey!
