Story behind the song
This song was composed on 5/5/2025. Prior to ever considering putting the historic Book of Acts into music, I had done a paraphrase of Acts 1:2b-11 (Jesus final instructions to his disciples and his ascension into heaven). Now that I have decided to compose music for the entire book, I needed to include vs.1 to 2a, which make for a very short song. But; hopefully, it will be a good lead in to the song Ascension Day.
