Story behind the song

I love id Software's DooM.  So much infact that I still (ritualistically) play it.  I've already done one remix of DooM's TuNes, so I thought I'd try my hand at the most memorable one, E1M1.  I wasn't really going for any sort of sound, or genre for this one, it just all fell into place haphazardly.  I was experimenting with 'The Rocket to Devoid' and this just stuck.  80's era kicks with today's era synths.
