This is another of my 'Mind Movie' recordings. I've used royalty free samples of the actual voice of Al Capone. Well, as he said, "I was only giving the people what they wanted"! well, and perhaps a few things that they didn't want too Al...

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something.

I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Independent artist Major Snagg drops "Public Enemy Number 1 (Al Capone)", a Stories track on SoundClick. Rooted in Experimental, the song brings an even-tempered energy to the Stories space. The production incorporates selected samples and loop elements.

Listeners can expect a grounded experience, with a tone that is film noir, industrial and experimental rock. "Public Enemy Number 1 (Al Capone)" has performed across multiple SoundClick charts, reaching #2 in Podcasts and #1 in Stories. Story behind the song
A 'mash-up' of sorts... with sounds effects (guns, screeching cars, screaming and general mayhem).... plus some tasty guitar licks and runs. For those of you who are into gear ... the guitars I used were, my Parker Fly guitar, my Yamaha Revstar RS420 and my Rickenbacker 40003 bass. All processing was via a Line 6 Pod Go. Mixing and mastering to stereo WAV file was in the ever user friendly, Adobe Audition 1.5 ... still my DAW of choice.

Very interesting way to build a song, very inspiring! The use of samples reminds me of Public Service Broadcasting and their Apollo songs. The guitar melodies are beautiful and the soundscape that you build around the samples, works perfectly!.

Great vocals and amazing Guitar playing.....This song is a winner. You are quite the songwriter, as well. If you do not mind my saying so, Your Guitar work is a combination of Eric Clapton and George Harrison....I have thought that for a long time now...Very beautiful.

A cross between a soundscape and a work of art! I like the guitar work & the way it interacts & weaves in & out of the samples. A real concept piece that paints a picture & tells a story

yes! totally brilliant and captivating and everything I love about music and what can be done with it to create such astonishingly cool soundscapes (genius stuff!) Mate, it's a piece of art and the riffs, licks and refrains in amongst the fx and sampled voices work so well! it's a big 10 from us in OZ (heatwave today btw!) Brilliant guitar too, you play that thing so damn well, so skilled, love it!
