My cover of a classic song by Cream (1969) I used my new dark green Yamaha Revstar RS620 on this. I didn't want to copy Eric's guitar solo, so instead, I just, 'rolled the tapes', and, 'went for it', with my own 'take' over the chords.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I've always liked this song and the fabulous guitar riff (composed by George Harrison) ... played through a rotating 'Leslie' organ speaker cabinet. This guitar riff is such a classic, and integral to the song, so I made sure that I didn't get it wrong. It's rumoured that Ringo contributed a line to the lyrics too, "I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park".
Lyrics
Badge - Cream 1969 Eric Clapton & George Harrison Tempo: 107 bpm Thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car. Thinkin' that I might have drove you too far. And I'm thinkin' 'bout the love that you laid on my table I told you not to wander 'round in the dark. I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park. Then I told you 'bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel Riff, run-down, though Line 6 Pod Go equivalent of a Leslie speaker effect) Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down Don't you notice how the wheel goes 'round? And you'd better pick yourself up from the ground Before they bring the curtain down Before they bring the curtain down, wooo [guitar solo] Talkin' 'bout a girl that looks quite like you She didn't have the time to wait in the queue She cried away her life since she fell out the cradle [guitar riff and solo to fade-out]

Your new guitar sounding very good just needed the right owner. Funny how that works. Good job on this cover not an easy song to sing.
