One of the earliest Panzer Tracks. We nearly sacked Wull for his vocal performance on this one. Can't stop thinking about Sinatra, Presley or Cash doing the vocals properly.

Artist picture
Rough demos and unfinished projects by some of the members of The Non-Stick Panzers who were getting fed up with the name The Non-Stick Panzers.
"Trawling deep through their archives, The Lords Of The Deep Sea searched their souls and found them wanting. Nonetheless, they pressed on, letting their music crash through its peaks and troughs like a badly-built boat on a storm-tossed sea; sure in the certain knowledge that somewhere, someone would have the foresight, wit and intelligence to see their work for its true worth, or just to wave back and laugh as they sailed further out of their depth. Prepare yourselves for their drunken, half-baked ideas, mad ramblings, unfinished symphonies and rough demos."

Story behind the song
Wanting to become an explorer, wanting to stay with a certain girl, wanting to sing; wanting and failing. Revisiting places you used to know well, only to find the magic gone. Robert Burns put it much better... "The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men Gang aft agley, An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain, For promis'd joy!" Ironically, we had high hopes for this song once. Unfortunately Wull could do no more than hint at the melody. We tried to revive it many years later, but by then, it too had become Yesterday's News.
Lyrics
When you wake up feeling strange When the things you count on are deranged It's the same friend you'd left behind That cuts the beam you'd stepped outside of Beaches walked in, places talked in It's all bad news now You've made them hate you now When once they loved you anyhow It was the same spark in attraction That's going to fire their repulsion Beaches walked in, places talked in It's all bad news now When the city is not on your side And all those places feel like lies It was the same spot that once made you feel good Those trees that helped you - only wood I read the morning paper And suddenly a lifeline... Marco Polo grabbed me - is he still out there somewhere? And then I realised - It was yesterday's paper It was yesterday's news
