Story behind the song
I was thinking of a children's animated program called 'Mr Benn' which was always on in the 80's, basically Mr Benn went to a tailored clothes shop and became whatever he wanted for the day be it chef, singer whatever but what I remember was the songs that were played during the middle bit of the show which is what made me think of this song, also I wanted to record a McCartney style track like 'Michelle' just so I could focus my attention to the vocals. The song is sort of about someone who desires something so much and yet does nothing about it.
