Apart from the Lord, we can do nothing. All our effort and struggling and striving is vain. Actually, the results depend upon the Lord and His blessing. We shouldn't be passive, but rather should labor in the Lord and by the Lord, but all the time remembering that the real result doesn't depend upon our input but upon the Lord's blessing and care.
I feel it is so sweet that the Lord even gives to us, His beloved, while we sleep. This means even when we are not aware of it, He is caring for us.
