A tune with a touch of bluegrass and spoken word. Very tongue in cheek!

late 90's 'alt rock' with a bit of a tongue-in-cheek melancholy.
tattered hat was a project that started somewhat whimsically and kinda spur-of-the-moment. I have another project () that I was trying to start but didn't quite go where I wanted with this band. I'm not complaining, mind you. I had a lot of fun and some cool tunes came out of it.

Story behind the song
Originally the chorus was, "Hallelujah, God is dead again" referring to what I see as this sort of bastardization of what God (aye, the Judeo-Christian one) is, means and stands for. Also how organized religion often defeats itself by getting soooo caught up in dogma and kant. But neither Jon nor Chris felt comfortable with that and eventually I acquiesced and switched it to "Hallelujah, love is dead again."
