Welcome to Pi Land!
Welcome to Pi Land! I'm not trying to land a record deal or launch a music career here...just posting some homemade demos of songs I've written over the last 40 some odd years! I'm using a little Boss Recorder, Yamaha keyboard (mostly for drums) along with various guitars and mics. My original intent was to just record these songs quickly so that I could show them to other musicians then get in a real studio, but I've since learned that studio time is expensive and my personal time (and money) is limited. So...these demos may be all I ever get to record...no problem...I feel lucky that I can leave something behind for my kids and grand kids to remember me by...or at least give 'em a few laughs! Anyway, thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the other fine musicians on SoundClick! Jimmy

Story behind the song
I seem to write lyrics when I'm in a bad mood.
Lyrics
I saw a picture yesterday of a long forgotten place. Then I drew a heavy sigh and a tear fell from my eye... God I hope, hope's not gone; I hope somewhere inside it lingers on I think about that special place out beyond all time and space. Then the longing in my heart lets me know that I should start... To roll the stone from the road that leads through the seasons to my home It leads me away, out yonder beyond the astral plane where no one can ever take away the promise of a better yesterday... I know I've wandered far away from the undivided place. A small distraction in my face sends me down into my fate... Now I know why I came and all of creation sings It's name It calls me away, out yonder and I begin to pray that no one will ever take away the promise of a better yesterday... bridge/solo so lead me away, out yonder beyond the astral plane where no one can ever take away the promise of a better yesterday
