Story behind the song
I was introduced to Alex (Solo) by our dear friend Mike. He is a friend now as well. He came over and he was reading a poem or some lyrics he wrote for his Uncle Amircal Vega who passed away unfortunately. I said, "Alex, man you should flow those sad but deeply beautiful lyrics on a beat I have." He said, "Ok, I love Hip Hop, why not." So, I showed him a few beats and he chose this one. I thought it was perfect because it has thunder in the beginning which to me gives the impression of turmoil, sadness, and uncertainty. He loved it. The beat was given to me by Dickumz Da Ox a good friend of mine and quite frankly I have no IDEA whose beat it is. It is my beat now since it was given to me by HIM..... so...... Anyway, this is one of (and I mean this) one of my favorite collaborations since # 1 Alex (Solo) is a great guy, with a vision, loves Hip Hop, writes awesome deep thought provoking lyrics and can flow his ass off. I mean for the first time flowin' and he did it like that? DAMN... SOLO... THAT SHIT IS OFF THE CHAIN!! # 2 the lyrical content moved me very much. # 3 I did a hot ass hook to compliment his flow and ideas and # 4 It is a really really hot song. So, on that note....
