Story behind the song
Well, don't try to figure out which singer this is about, because I just made it all up. 1964 was just a good thing to sing and the American West Coast is a natural place to let a fictional singer be born in, isn't it? But I'm from Norway (The Northern West Coast), that's true!!! There's also an instrumental version of this on my music page!
Lyrics
MICROPHONE STAND Born in 1964 on the American West Coast Moved to South America at 8 Never learned to love a place like home But when you reached your teens You found your fate You heard a rocknroll band You discovered a brand new land There were no boundaries Soon the world saw your face Behind the microphone stand Now its year 2000 on the Norwegian West Coast I heard you on the radio the other night You never learned to love a place like home But when your voice rings out Our darkness turns to light
