Story behind the song

This was built over a series of tapped-bass patterns written by Alex Hogson, a fellow internet collaborator I've worked with a few times over the years.  Alex' tapping skills are amazing to me; each note cleanly articulated, and I told him when he posted these patterns (sometime ago) at MusiciansWars.com that I would love to build something more structured over it, and so, here it is; finally.

The time signature ends up not being 4/4 from it's beginning as you will notice so please give it a few listens to grasp the direction.

Alex had baptized this one The Spider because the tapping technique he uses is called as such.

This new version was released March 12th, 2002.
