Didn't the world abolish genocide after World War Two?
A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.
Lyrics
It was the worst crime ever committed by Man,
An entire people part of a barbaric plan,
Made scapegoats, the faces to their pain,
So quickly they send those different to be slain,
Those sensing disaster did not peep a word,
Systematic state killing neither seen nor heard,
In the aftermath, six million lives hence,
The world proclaimed: never again!
Never again, never again
Proclaimed the noble men
Never again, never again
We won’t be silent then
But when?
Is Never Again
On an isolated continent across the ocean,
The systematic genocide is commencing again,
Killed for who they are, sans discrimination,
Numbers added to those killed by the nation,
The little foreign aid easily impeded,
Entire village populations receded,
Hundreds of thousands of marks on their souls,
Yet they’re invisible to the rest of the world.
Never Again, Never Again,
But wait, it’s happpenin’
Never Again, Never Again,
There’s no reporter’s pen
Now then
Is Never Again
Not but ten years later do the atrocities reshape,
Once again transpire without print or videotape,
Masses slaughtered corresponding to birth,
All after the so-called banishment from earth,
Of the darkest form that man can transpose,
The hidden, jagged thorns still attached to the rose,
And yet again the leaders vow to abolish,
Yet it’s all just empty, shallow politics!
Never Again, Never Again,
Let’s not pretend
Never Again, Never Again,
That anyone is listening!
Never Again and Again and Again and Again…
