Story behind the song
I've gotten this together heavily influenced by a B-side tune written by Manfred Mann of the same name. St@rbird is a short voyage in 5/4 time signature. Soloing within this time signature opens doors to new and interesting creations; actually extends to the soloist that little bit of extra time to add to a particular phrase/measure. Sometimes, the problem with that is that the melodies are not always understood properly on the first playback, because we are all so accustomed to 4/4, or even 3/4. Unfortunately recorded in mono. Song was released on June 10th, 2000.
