This is certainly something that is familiar to all (young and old), even if it's as aged as Milton Burle.

Story behind the song
If my old-man was alive today, he'd be proud of me for putting this up. This is certainly something that is familiar to all (young and old), even if it's as aged as Milton Burle. This is a short medley of big-band standards that our parent's parents loved to swing to written by Glenn Miller. It's not terribly technical, but trying to get guitars to talk like trumpets or clarinets would, is amazingly challenging. I dare anyone to try it! Give Vai, Malmsteen and others of today's greats a break, and try this big band stuff. To grasp the innocence of then, was a lot of fun, and somewhat difficult and discouraging at times. I played most of it on my Strat, except for the hook part (on classical), and the ending (on Ibanez). And oh of course, I played my fretless bass. Unfortunately, this was recorded in mono, but then music in the 40s was recorded that way anyway. Song was released August 2nd, 2000.
