An African song of praise sung a cappella with 6-voices. Unfortunately, they're all mine.

Old rock band guy from the '60s. Bass player mostly in bands. Play guitar, piano & mandolin for fun. These recordings are things I've made at home.
I'm a semi-retired musician who has been playing music since the 1960s. I have mostly played bass in the bands, but I also play guitar, mandolin & piano.

Story behind the song
Oddly, this is one of the first songs I thought about doing when I got my multi-track recorder. I grew-up singing in all-city chorus and boys choirs, and I had a wonderful African-American chorus leader named Mr. Hill. In the early '60s, Alphonse Hill, taught a whole bunch of us to sing this and play along on percussion instruments. I'm sure this isn't how we did it then, but this is as best as I remember it. I loved singing that song. I recorded it at home and sang six vocal parts myself.
