Story behind the song
It expresses contempt for two kinds of people whose numbers have been increasing drastically over the past decades: 1) those who keep going on strike for nearly no reason, not realizing that the world has changed and that they are forced to follow, or give it all up and stay behind, like a civilization that is no more. 2) the constantly depressed who wallow in thoughts of suicide, the weak who will kill themselves again for nearly no reason. they have no sense of reality, most of them have no idea what it really is to suffer. their view is so limited, and the smallest mishap will cause them to falter, and then keep rolling all over the floor, shouting how unfair it is that life treats them thus. Both are perverting respectively a strong weapon and an ultimate way of escaping, neither to be used lightly.
Lyrics
Not a single day passes that you don't hear them cry: "I'm giving up, no more of this, no longer, count me out" They are so blind, confined to their tiny views, seeing only their own cause And so this world's adrift, with none realizing they're heading for disaster and the ship is steerless due to this cowardice. Through time, they've grown pathetically weak, can't take a single blow... While everything they know is led astray, they live on in their dreamworld, the heroes on the barricades... But believe me, there are no dragons anymore. Take it from me, your tale will be spit out, mangled by the jaws of reality. I won't give a damn, but I'll watch all of you fall, collapse, go down, but still too insignificant for any flames. Listen while I give away the end: no one will be there to shed a tear, no one will pass by your grave. No vigil for each and every one of you. A futile cause...
