Big Band To Supernova is all about the Search...... The search for happiness, the search for meaning in life, the search for God, the search for freedom, the search for justice. Life is an intrinsic paradox: its beauty and meaning is both as clear as a lighthouse beacon at night, and as unattainable as a mirage on a desert road. Muscially, Big Bang To Supernova are searching for new ways to express the sounds and influences that have been meaningful to them through the years. The great melodies of Tears For Fears and the moody beats of Depeche Mode are influences that combine with the latest in electronica, hip hop and rock, to forge the unmistakable sound that is Big Bang To Supernova.

Story behind the song
I was born in Australia, and didn't arrive in the USA until 1998. Being financially challenged at the time, I moved to a small apartment in Korea Town, Los Angeles. The thing that struck me most about my new surroundings were the number of homeless people I encountered. For a variety of reasons, homelessness isn't a big problem in Australia, so it was quite a shock to see so many homeless people on the streets near my apartment. I had so many burning questions: "Why are there so many homeless people?... What has happened in their lives that has caused them to fall out of mainstream society?... What is it about L.A. that makes it so hard for homeless people to get back on their feet?..." For quite a while these questions went unanswered. But about a year ago I was watching a documentary that explained that close to 50% of homeless people also battle mental illness. During the 80s, the amount of government funding available for the mentally ill was greatly reduced. With no support system to fall back on, many mentally ill people ended up on the streets. Annabella the Angel is one of these people...
Lyrics
"Hey Joan, leave the trash alone Get on back to skid row, go home" Said Peter, the street cleaner Near the dumpster that I own "Peter do you mind, can you spare a dime And I'll make the blessings of God on you shine" Doesn't want to hear me, shakes his head and leaves me "Well hey, my name's not Joan..." And I now know why life is passing me by I am a ghost no-one ever sees, no-one ever knows Cause I am the angel Living down in the row Anabella the Angel Born in heaven below And yes I am the angel I'm the queen of the row "Don't touch my son, dirty street bum" "Get on back!" cries the angry mom As she pulls her baby aside I remember my baby that died "Don't you know, don't you see" I call to her as she leaves "That I only want to bless him and caress him" Don't they understand that the touch of my hand comes from above Anabella lives just to share God's love chorus Sometimes when I'm sleeping I dream the dawn won't come God is softly calling "Joan your work is done" Cause I'm tired, baby I'm so tired chorus
