Story behind the song
Local discussion of a new spur to the MBTA's transit system plus a great old pic (circa 1890) of the old Fall River Line (ocean going cutter's) led to the idea for this song.
Lyrics
86 tons of steel...rollin' on down the line (x2) all aboard...the old Fall River Line Move up the tracks...hear that clickity-clack Good transportation...you really travel in style Head up the city...havin' a fine to-do
