The grim sound is to illustrate that humanity is not as beautiful as it seems. That, together with the lyrics, points out how disgusting people really are, if you look at them closely. I'm not a hater of the human race, but I feel that humans are disgusting.

Story behind the song
This is a metaphor describing how the intensity of senseless topics interferes with the main struggle - advancement of the human race. The idea of summer is in correlation with the idea that before we do anything, that is meaningful, most of us are dead. Before summer is too hot, it's over. I would rather not post the lyrics. They are difficult to understand, however, they are quite inappropriate, in text format.
