Story behind the song
I did this song in the honor of the two producers who've always inspired me. DJ Premier & Pete Rock...Yes, I used the same "Young, Gifted & Black" sample that Premier had as a breakbeat on one of the Gang Starr albums, while Pete Rock made it into a Heavy D song called "Yes Y'all". I just love that piano loop!
