A powerful, and bold rapper from Missouri. with catchy lyrics, strong beats, and a solid message, Versifyer is sure to amaze you.
Definition: Versifyer - A writer who composes verses or rhymes. Versifyer (Jerry B. Hall II) was born in Kansas City Missouri in 1988. Raised in a small metro town he quickly learned that he did not “fit in”. Bullied, teased and humiliated, he decided to stick his thoughts to paper and let them out that way...after all, paper doesn't judge. Thoughts turned to poems, poems to songs, songs to rap...this was the beginning of the revolution. Versifyer started pouring everything about himself into a genre he knew nothing of. Raised on rock n' roll he was out-casted by even certain family members and friends. “Changed Ways” was written by Versifyer in 2002, and released in 2003 featuring vocals by himself and S.4.C, and mentoring from Lyrycyst. The track was underdeveloped and raw, however it showcased a premature talent, and an astounding heart. 500 copies were distributed before the track was rerecorded and remastered in 2005. Along the way were tracks such as “My Genesis”, “Destiny”, “Refocused”, “Ready or Not” and many others. Soon word escalated of the artist and he was enveloped in the underground scene of Kansas City, where pressure and pain turned him against the industry. Years later this one of a kind artist is a true poet and an awe striking musician, well known for his flawless complex rhyme scheme, and tongue twisting speed rap. He boldly declares his beliefs and passions through his music, lifting up and also offending many listeners, with one purpose: to rebuild the industry the way it was meant to be built, with diversity and love! Versifyer has worked with artists such as: Lyrycyst, M1ssundastood, Lyrikal Assassin, S.4.C, Camouflage, DJ Ryan Goode and Mythykah. And shared the stage with many more such as: The Body and the Blood, Top Spin and Die to Yourself. Versifyer is also the award winner of "best rapper in the state" in a compitition held by AOG.

Lyrics
It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ I’ve come a long way Since I rapped the wrong way But look at the songs dang People act like it’s a game I don’t do it for the pay But my life depends on fame I could lose it in a day If I get booed off a stage It wasn’t supposed to be a job It was supposed to be a ministry One word about God And everybody wants to sentence me I come about me And they act like it’s a symphony An orchestra of course it does Seem like it lacks efficiency I’ll rap…if it’s meant to be I’ll get…fame that’s meant for me I’ll get…responses sent to me Not rappin’ makes no sense to me My music is a tool Not a way to get me cool Cause I’m about to school…you On how I brake the rules See me rap up in the church Hit the streets and quote a verse Like the heavens meet the earth I’ma show you blessed and cursed If you don’t see the message Then I’ll send you on a search For the spirit hear it Feelin’ near it keepin’ God first…I Had a little stage fright Now with all this rage I Feel like I’ve been caged tight Now it’s time to change lives Take everything you’ve ever said And your old self head severed dead I said it’s truth I never said It’s just a book you never read It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ When I look into the mirror And I see my own reflection I see someone I don’t know Someone who left me guessin’ It’s time to get more personal With issues I’m repressin’ I see my fathers face in mine It’s raisin’ my aggression I even started playin’ chicks Because of my depression ‘Til the game came back to get me Then I learned my lesson Got back into the game Back with Jenna the same Then I had to change the ways Because Sarah came to stay Now I’m back on track with God At a drama filled church And it’s gotta still hurt This is not a real verse This is not a real song This is not a real track People say that I’m white And say real rappers are black…so Should I grow and afro? Pull a backwards Michael Jackson Turn black and continue rappin’ Just actin’ like nothin’ happened? My witnesses Come witness this My genesis Was just a mix To flip the switch Then hit the ditch But it’s quick to hit It’s hype didn’t quit It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ Listen…accept the facts The rap is back No room to act Yeah Listen…I’ve come to stay No time to play This is my day Yeah Now it…is getting real And I feel All my wounds heal It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ It never ends and I’ll never stop I'm rollin’ This is my destiny Versifyer keep on goin’ Now look at that Come test my faith Test my song I rest my case Wont rest my bass I’ll bless this place With words God sends But just incase I’m gonna rock it in double time Even gonna put it with double rhyme Leave this crowd to scream it loud Versifyer did it one more time But that’s not…how it ends My destiny…now it begins Versifyer sets the trend To follow God and fight the sin My destiny…I’ll never quit Never stop…never sit Even if I don’t ever get One foot in…I swear I’ll win Cause this is my Destiny
