The Devastating Tragedy of My Favourite Sex Doll
The awful tale of a lonely man's only lover being cruelly abducted.
One-man band, using both acoustic and electric guitar.
Hallo. I am the Nash Odyssey. I'm a one-man band (except for recording purposes).
Story behind the song
Really, I just wanted to write a semi-bluesy song, which are obviously traditionally about loss or tragedy. It's just a tabloid twist on that.
Lyrics
One night, I was woken up by a bright light,
Shining through the window.
Then lots of little green men all came streaming in,
To see what they could borrow.
Then my Pandora, God knows I adore her,
She was stolen by the alien scum
And that’s how my favourite sex-doll was abducted by Martians.
They must have thought she was human, found her quite alluring
I didn’t really know what it was they were doing,
They unbuttoned her dress, squeezed her plastics breasts
And other sexual foolin’
I was displeased as I watched this on my knees
But I did not want to catch some funky space disease
So I had to watch as they fumbled around
In Pandora’s box.
Well, when they were all done and they’d all had their fun,
They left her face-down in the gutter.
With an almighty shout, I rushed straight on out
To see if I could kiss her better
Now I watch the skies through my vacant eyes
To see if they will ever return for their prize..
..But they never have.
