Kriisa and Roots established their musical partnership in 2000 and have been gigging as Bullfrog Brown since 2003, appearing at some of the biggest international blues and guitar festivals in Northern and Eastern Europe, such as the Lakeside Blues Festival (2006) and the Savonsolmu Beach & Blues Party (2007) in Finland, Augustibluus (2003-2007) and Fiesta De La Guitarra (2006) in Estonia, Blues Nights (2005) in Lithuania, and the WRA InterContinental Resophonic Guitar Festival (2005) in the Czech Republic. Their 2006 trip to Britain included shows in London, Glasgow, Kingston, Hartlepool, and Stockton. In their native country, the band have opened for and - at the maestro's personal request - played with David "Honeyboy" Edwards, backed Zigaboo Modeliste's keyboard man Eddie Baytos on the road and on national television, and toured with Dave Arcari, Black River Bluesman, and Bottleneck John. In March 2007, Bullfrog Brown became the highest ranking blues band in UBL.com's Ultimate Band Competition, placing 6th in a 2-year race with thousands of international pop, rock, and hip-hop artists; in April, the band won First Prize at the Blindman's Blues Forum showcase. In 2006, a track from the band's "Uncooked" EP was featured as the only post-1971 and non-American recording in the History of Slide Guitar programme compiled by Radio Melibokus in Germany, and the EP itself nominated for the Deed of the Year award in the group's hometown of Tartu, Estonia. “The new voice and sound of the old blues.” -- John Vermilyea, Blues Underground Network “Huge stage presence and a superb band.” -- Dave Raven, BFBS Radio "Primal earthy blues." -- Paul Bufton, Blues Matters! “More real than the real thing.” -- René Malines, Virus de Blues “All of this punk rock blues experimentation in recent years has finally been perfected.” -- Eric Gebhardt, Blues In London

Story behind the song
As unlikely as it may seem, the lyrics to this tune were scribbled down on a piece of paper while walking for an hour thru a snowstorm to a girlfriends' house, right after spending 2.5 hours on a bus, riding from Tartu to Tallinn. Way back in 1996 it was.
Lyrics
If you got a woman who travels all the time Got a million jobs just to get a dime The tale of two cities, blues hangin’ over me It’s been a million years since I last slept peacefully Always on a bus or train, hikin’ thru the snow Walkin’ ‘til your shoes wear off, tryin’ a-find a home Ooh-hoo! Blues hangin’ over me It’s been a million years since I last slept peacefully I’m worn so thin my shadow’s way too big for me I’m worn so low the blues can walk right over me The tale of two cities, blues hangin’ over me It’s been a million years since I last slept peacefully If you live in many places, travel all the time See a Greyhound bus, it’s bound to make you cry Ooh-hoo! Blues hangin’ over me It’s been a million years since I last slept peacefully Cold wind is blowin’, you are walkin’ ‘round on ice Somehow get the feelin’ God is playin’ loaded dice Ooh-hoo! Blues hangin’ over me It’s been a million years since I last slept peacefully
