Kriisa and Roots established their musical partnership in 2000 and have been gigging as Bullfrog Brown since 2003, appearing at some of the biggest international blues and guitar festivals in Northern and Eastern Europe, such as the Lakeside Blues Festival (2006) and the Savonsolmu Beach & Blues Party (2007) in Finland, Augustibluus (2003-2007) and Fiesta De La Guitarra (2006) in Estonia, Blues Nights (2005) in Lithuania, and the WRA InterContinental Resophonic Guitar Festival (2005) in the Czech Republic. Their 2006 trip to Britain included shows in London, Glasgow, Kingston, Hartlepool, and Stockton. In their native country, the band have opened for and - at the maestro's personal request - played with David "Honeyboy" Edwards, backed Zigaboo Modeliste's keyboard man Eddie Baytos on the road and on national television, and toured with Dave Arcari, Black River Bluesman, and Bottleneck John. In March 2007, Bullfrog Brown became the highest ranking blues band in UBL.com's Ultimate Band Competition, placing 6th in a 2-year race with thousands of international pop, rock, and hip-hop artists; in April, the band won First Prize at the Blindman's Blues Forum showcase. In 2006, a track from the band's "Uncooked" EP was featured as the only post-1971 and non-American recording in the History of Slide Guitar programme compiled by Radio Melibokus in Germany, and the EP itself nominated for the Deed of the Year award in the group's hometown of Tartu, Estonia. “The new voice and sound of the old blues.” -- John Vermilyea, Blues Underground Network “Huge stage presence and a superb band.” -- Dave Raven, BFBS Radio "Primal earthy blues." -- Paul Bufton, Blues Matters! “More real than the real thing.” -- René Malines, Virus de Blues “All of this punk rock blues experimentation in recent years has finally been perfected.” -- Eric Gebhardt, Blues In London

Story behind the song
In addition to the Bullfrog trio, we got Peeter Piik on upright bass, Kalle Kindel on djembe, and Raul Terep on marching bass drum and tambourine. Lyrically, there's a true story in there somewhere--actually, Kalle is even one of the characters...
Lyrics
Daddy was a master Made a pair of wings Ike, his son, around the sun Took ’em for a swing Mommy was a moses Commandments on a plate A flamin’ god in burnin’ bush Standin’ by the gate How come you’re so good to me Like no one was before? How is that you smile to me How come & just what for? Uncle was a helicopter Had a lot of blades He had many jobs that always Landed him in jail How is that you hold my hand While they’re tearin’ down the wall? How come you make love to me While someone’s at the door? Grandpa was a fairy Granny was a god No one knew her name But she still caused the flood How come when I look at you I see myself instead? How is that we spent three months Stayin’ home in bed? Buddy was a prophet Said that you’re in love He was all right then But now he’s just on drugs Mommy was a moses Daddy was a dwarf How come I’m in love With all the hearts upon your scarf?
