Hi, my name is Terrance Clark I’m 21 yrs old and I was born in Nuremburg Germany in 1981. My parents were in the military so we moved to the states in 1982. We moved very frequently in the states but then my father retired from the army, and we decided to stay in Baltimore where we have been living for the past 13yrs. As youngsters, my younger sister and I attended Johnnycake and Woodmoor elementary schools, and graduated from Milford Mill High School. Currently, I attend Baltimore City Community College while also maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. My Musical roots go back two generations, as my Great Grandmother was a tap dancer, my Great Grandfather who played the piano for my Great Grandmother in their vaudeville act. My Grandfather was also an accomplished singer who sang in a group called the “Five Crowns”. The “Five Crowns” consisted of my Grandfather and two of his brothers as well as, the famous Ben E. King. The group produced a number 1 hit entitled (“There Goes My Baby”) with Ben E. King as lead vocalist. Eventually the membership of the group changed, and the group was renamed (“The Drifters”). My Father and Uncle are also accomplished musicians and singers. I started my singing career in gospel music. As a member of the youth choir I sang in the choir at Flatrock Baptist Church at the age of 9. At the age of 12, I entered into a singing competition sponsored by Rosa Pryor and won 1st place in the vocal competition. I went on to receive a music scholarship from the Rosa Pryor Music Scholarship Fund. At the age of 14, I was invited by the family of very close friends to render song in remembrance of four Edwards family members who lost their lives in a tragic house fire. There were over 600 mourners in attendance of the funeral, including Gov. George Allen and Mayor Leonidas B. Young of the city of Richmond. As time went by, I continued singing in church, while being invited to perform at various functions such as, weddings, other events, and talent competitions like the “Gospel Apollo” at Coppin State College where I came in second place. I continued to hone my skills under the careful guidance and direction of my Uncle, John H. Clark who is currently the Producer of my current CD. My musical influences are Daryl Coley, Stevie Wonder, and Musiq Soul child because they are incredible songwriters and vocally unique. All These artists combined is me which creates a distinctive sound all of my own. I see myself being a successful artist in the near future, so the world can hear a whole new sound “look out world hear I come”.
