Story behind the song
When the planes are taking off from Macduffs and our friends are on the plane, everyone who is staying lines up along the runway and we all moon the plane as it is cruising down the runway.
Lyrics
Verse 1 It was consternation mass evacuation Full moon over Macduffs With our glasses high as we said goodbye All feeling just a little bit rough Verse 2 Some going north Some go south Some for parts unknown Some left here with a cold Kalik beer Some soon to go home Chorus We'll send them off with a full moon from MacDuffs Turn around and drop them down We'll send them off with a full moon from MacDuffs No matter where their bound Verse 3 It's just tradition Not over ambition A thing that we have to do From the tropic blows where we paint our toes There's always full moons for you Verse 4 Some are big Some are small The rest all in between Some are black Some are white Hopefully they're all clean Repeat Chorus break Repeat Chorus Verse 5 Be it boat or plane They're both the same When your time to leave comes too Just look around, know they will be found Full moons pointing at you Verse 6 If its not your time And if its not mine We'll be lining up side by side Drop our drawers on these pretty shores Another MacDuffs goodbye Repeat Chorus
