The song that never finishes getting redone.
punk political social roc
Artist picture
A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.

Lyrics
Neatly trimmed grass spreads the countryside, Laced with fertilizer, weed killers, pesticide, Everything kept so nice, it all looks so clean, Habitats destroyed to make our grass more green, Preservation a sin, today’s petty annoyance, “Thin out their numbers,” they say without clairvoyance, Another species succumbs to our suburban superficialities, Sprawling without order, we forget our own mortality. Every year a thousand fruitful acres fall, To another arm of this suburban sprawl, Throw up the houses, find another spot, Cut down these woods for this parking lot, Pave the fertile valleys, erect concoctions of concrete, The Jungle has been conquered, Nature admits defeat, Irreversible damage has already been levied, What’s it to you if they chop down another tree? The strip malls spread as far as one can see This industrialization engulfs the whole country In our comfortable houses with the heat blasting Illogical how such a state can be lasting Systematically we disassociate from sin But already so many evils have been let in Sit silent as the foundations crumble And deep down mother earth rumbles You can try to run away but there’s no where to go, Run down by a motorist on worn-out country roads, Protection from the city thanks to these gated communities, But who protects us from our own luxuries? So many pollutants spewed into the ozone layer, Do you ever wonder if our descendents have a prayer? Where is the conclusion, how will it all end? That is the great mystery of the Suburban Wasteland.
