Once again, no bass yet - but I figure I would put it up anyway to let everyone know what I've been up to lately.

This is me - my life in the form of music. Although my favorite type of music is progressive rock, I also liking writing solo acoustic songs, and have made some attempts at creating a few techno/industrial instrumental songs.

Story behind the song
A friend of mine's father found out she's a lesbian, broke her wrist, and this is based off a poem wrote after finding this out.
Lyrics
I watch so much happen out of the corners of my eyes, The sad thing is that this happens all of the time, A father strikes his daughter so violently, his very own child, And thinks he has a good reason for losing his temper and his mind. He tried everything he could to save her, He tried to keep her from all the evils of the world, He tried to teach her to be a good little girl, But that good little girl happened to like other girls, Now nothing has worked and it’s all come down to this, Striking her down, bruising her face with the back of his fist, As much as it hurts he just had to make her listen, To do whatever it takes to beat her into submission. If he doesn’t get through to her she’ll burn in hell forever, She simply cannot share her love with someone of the same gender, Such a thing is unspeakable and worse than committing murder, Or worse than the hate he preaches and the lies he tries to cover. Such hypocrites, all of you, who pass judgment unto others, For passing laws and creating brawls for everyone to suffer, Thinking what you say is truth and all you do is right, When you hardly follow the very religion, for which you scream and fight. Try looking at your own heart, examining your own lives, Allow us all to have the same freedom for which so many gave their rights. While you only act from ignorance; while you brood contempt and hate, I refuse to let myself become that, which you are trying to create, I’ll stand up tall, and for as long as I live will always stand my place, I’ll let the way I love my husband be the way I spit back in your face. Your judgment will come one day and not a moment soon enough, In the mean time I hope you somehow truly learn to share your love, You see, love is blind and wouldn’t make you strike a child in the face, Love is what we share that is supposed to bond the human race, And every time you act out of hatred and ill-bred misunderstanding, I’ll pray God keep us safe from the wrath of the world’s misled loathing… And all the hatred… We’re gonna, we’re gonna make it, We’re gonna be alright.
