Story behind the song
Somewhere along the line, we decided we wanted to write a punk song. Brian laid down the bass line (sound like a familiar story?) and the verse came together quite naturally. Adrian had a hand in the guitar parts for the chorus, and quickly enough we had what we simply refered to as "the Punk Song."
When it came time to write lyrics, we put our heads together and barely came up with anything. Ralf kept saying "let's write about a starfish" and we all ignored him. Finally, we saw the light of his wisdom and started putting the pieces together. What's a starfish like? Well, if you compare a girl to a starfish, it's like a hit song. :)
