JOHN F. KENNEDY WAS PRESIDENT AND DOO-WOP WAS KING WHEN THE DEE-TONES GOT THEIR START. DENNIS DE RENZO, ART LANGAN, AND JACK PLUMLEY, MARINES STATIONED TOGETHER AT QUANTICO, VIRGINIA, PLAYED THE LOCAL CLUB SCENE IN THE WASHINGTON, D.C.-MARYLAND-VIRGINIA AREA, DEVELOPING A UNIQUE VOCAL STYLE AND A SOLID FAN BASE IN THE PROCESS.

THE TRIO SPLIT UP AND DIDN'T SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN UNTIL 1999 WHEN DERENZO, A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN, MOVED TO LARGO, FLORIDA AND CONTACTED LANGAN, WHO DURING THE INTERVENING YEARS HAD BEEN A SUCCESSFUL STAGE AND FILM ACTOR. THEY GOT TOGETHER, AND "IT WAS LIKE THE YEARS NEVER WENT BY AS FAR AS THE SINGING GOES". THE REST, AS THE SAYING GOES, IS HISTORY. SOUNDING AS FRESH AND DYNAMIC AS EVER...THE DEE-TONES ARE BACK !

Story behind the song
This song was written after a gig where a person in the crowd (quite drunk) kept asking for the same song over and over and over....any musician will know exactly what I mean.
