Penetraytor is a one man project, born out of a love for electronic music. As a fan of Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Ultravox and New Order I started experimenting with simple music making programs on my home PC. The results have been startling, unexpected and satisfying. I try to give my compositions a simple, catchy beat and interesting chord changes with strange sounds thrown in for good measure. I'm not a singer but I do use sampled voices on some tracks (none of them are me though), most of my tracks are instrumentals however. I hope you enjoy my compositions.

Story behind the song
This is my first track using FL Studio 5. It has 75 patterns, 45 samples and uses Slayer2 for all but one of the guitar sounds, including the acoustic sequence part way through which I particularly like (and took several days to get right !). The track also uses Sytrus for the orchestra and strings, Granulizer for the Fat Boy Slim type stretched vocals, Boo Bass, original Slayer for the rhythm guitar, DX10, Drum Synth Live and 3xOSC for the percussion, Fruity Wrapper and SimSynth. In all this is by far the most complex piece I have done to date and I feel it is a benchmark for future work. Anyone who listened to my early tracks of 12 months ago would find this work unrecognisable and shows just what can achieved with a little patience (something I have a lack of) and the right software :-)). The sound is quite 80's New Wave / New Romantic in parts but the acoustic section, using lush strings and harmony changes, is a definate change of direction for me - it reminds me a little of early Genesis, the transition back to the main guitar riff took a long time to blend together but I think it works and I'm starting to understand how to build a track to a crescendo. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
