This song is once again a collaboration with Bobby D. which marries a breezy jazzy feel to his Latin Lover lyrics.

Classic rock redemption. AvMo and his Les Paul bring classic rock meets folk jams.
Welcome to the new sound of 70s classic rock music, AvMo style. I have been writing music since I was 16 years old and my grandmother would tell me to “keep it down!” Today, I am turning all my classic tunes over to the glorious listeners on the internet to enjoy - hopefully you like it better than my Nona! My greatest inspirations when recording are classic rock bands such as the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and Styx. Their music has provided a soundtrack to my life, from my days as a basketball player in high school to the old rocker I am now! I am launch a new EP this summer called “Bittersweet” which is my take on the theme of love through different rock genres and angles. My son challenged me to come out with a sick EP and I think I have. Can’t wait for you all to discover it. AvMo

Story behind the song
I had the main body of the song which I sent to Booby for lyrical ideas. He sent me two possibilities and the outcome was Catalina
Lyrics
Catalina was my lover’s name, She was as pure as the morning dew, But when the sun went down in Spanish town, She became the temptress I once knew… V.2 Her gentle whispers would kiss my ears, And I’d serenade her with my mandolin, And when she'd seduced the cautious winds, Every night was like fiesta time again… Chorus Riding on the winds of change, We dreamt of tomorrow, And happiness not sorrow, But it was out of our hands, ‘Cause fate had other plans, V.3 The Santa Anas were a coming, As we were packing for Monterrey, But we wouldn’t escape the devil’s breath, And it still haunts me every day… V.4 ‘Cause hell had whipped up a firestorm, In the shape of a woman scorned, And when the smoke finally cleared, It came to light, She had shot my Catalina dead, Shot my Catalina dead… Chorus
