Story behind the song
Anger motivated Spife to write the song. He emailed the lyrics of the song to k04.yahoogroups.com, his third-year section yahoogroup. The people the song was meant for were affected and reacted negatively to Spife's deep lyricism.
Lyrics
In life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. So there must be winners, and there must be losers. When there are winners, there must be prizes, which could be in any form. Let me tell you a story about winners, losers, and prizes. Loser #1 did nothing. He just sat in a corner, contented with just looking at the prize, which was not his. When the prize was finally won, he didn't care. Loser #2 almost won the prize. He was already holding the prize in his hands, when it flew away, in search for another winner. It wasn't meant to happen, but it did. Loser #3 strained so hard for the prize, from the time he heard of it. He did everything just to get near it, but a "certain unseen force" prevented him from doing so. He was so close, yet so far. When the prize was won, he stayed silent, but kept so many things hidden inside him. Loser #4 "wasted" all his efforts. For years, he tried and tried but the prize just kept flying away, always flying away. Although the prize has been won, he is still unable to accept defeat. He's still waits in vain up to this day. One winner just laid on his bed, thinking about nothing. One morning, he found a half of the prize lying beside him, but he didn't recognize it immediately. He fell asleep for days, and when he woke up, he found the half of prize still beside him. He recognized what it was, and he quickly put it in his pocket. The other winner was walking down the street when the other half of the prize fell on his head and on then on his hands. He kept the prize and didn't tell anyone about it. But of course, secrets are made to be found. One loser's reflection witnessed all this happening, and he concluded that the world has reversed its axis.
