When i look up to the sky,
See the stars far up so high,
Then i feel so very small,
In the vastness of it all,
In the night i feel at one,
With the cosmos i belong,
Pressures of the day are gone,

Tension eases from my mind,
In the night time i can find,
Stillness that relaxes me,
Feeling of tranquility,
I like to walk along the streets,
When there is no-one to meet,
Solitude appeals to me,
By myself i feel free,
Peace & quiet of the night,
Beneath the glow of the lamplight,
All i hear are my footsteps,
Black cat watches from a fence,
In the night i feel at one,
