Musings of my old band days
rock acoustic eclectic original open music project
Artist picture
Eclectic open music project, acoustic, rock, original. I don't quite know how to put it.
A music project for any and all who wish to give listen to something different. In other words.. I'll drop it into the blender and see what comes out. Conceived as an exercise in musical expression, executed as an ambition of the spirit. The melodies and and lyrical sounds set forth within this project are meant to amuse, and entertain. To bring enjoyment and evoke emotional reaction. And, perhaps, with a bit of luck, bring a smile to your ears.

Story behind the song
Just got to thinking about the old days and where my friends had gotten off to.
Lyrics
Words and Music by Mark A. Rivers Verse: Em G C Em Chorus: G D F C Verse 1 Where have they all gone now, I ponder? Their silence, grown as loud as thunder. The echoes of the music linger. As a€˜cross the strings my fingers wander. Trying to recall forgotten songs. I know the key, but it was so long ago. Voices of the past return now. Singing of the summera€™s sounds. Chorus: Can anyone come out and play? Is anybody home today? Leta€™s try and make the music stay. The children want to sing the day. Has everybody gone their way? Did the music maker sail away? Did the tide wash all the notes away? Can anyone come out and play? Instrumental Verse 2 I thought the music had grown silent. Then in my dreams, beneath the quiet. I heard the sounds of people laughing. I saw the faces they were smiling. And calling me to come and join in. To make the music and sing the songs. Play the notes you know them all. And once again I heard them call. Chorus Can anyone come out and play? Is anybody home today? Leta€™s try and make the music stay. The children want to sing the day. Has everybody gone their way? Did the music maker sail away? Did the tide wash all the notes away? Can anyone come out and play?
