Story behind the song

Payin' my respects to a man, who taught me so much and lead by example, rather than words... My Uncle Ray inspired so many thru his coaching (which he did as volunteer work at Northern High School) and advice he would give, and he never minded helping out a friend, family member, stranger, and even in some cases foes... He suffered for quite some time before he died June 29th, 2004 from diabetes complications...
