Alternative Rock with an Emo -ish sound with an intelligent, sometimes complex structure.
So this is [b]the size of the ocean[b] soundclick site - welcome to it. the size of the ocean is the alternative / rock / emo / metal personal musical experiment / project of me, Eric Hartmann. I am a multi-instrumentalist / songwriter / studio owner who is in the process of doing a CD recording project here in Tempe, AZ. The CD project has several purposes really, but first and foremost is to get a quality sampling of some of my songs (finally). I am also trying to put together a solid promotional piece to showcase my studio, and my engineering / production skills as well. I am simply looking for some cool, talented people to help me out ( I am especially looking for vocalists - I don't want to sing on every song)!
So I am using this site as a temporary home for some of my songs while the project comes together. It's a place for people to take a listen to the tracks as they take shape. I will be adding new songs as they become available, and updating existing ones as they develop. I am smack in the middle of recording now - I'm looking to record 8 - 10 tracks and will be pressing 1000 professionally packaged CDs sometime around October. Anyone contributing, and I’d like to find multiple people, are welcome to 50 CDs each and possibly comp’d studio time equal to the amount of time they contribute.
I am looking for talented, grounded folks so no drugs, heavy drinking, big egos, assorted damage... If it matters I am in my 30’s I don’t care how old you are, but over 21 seems wise. Oh, and I am not looking to form a band, this is just a project, so if you are in a band or are otherwise encumbered it's no big deal. The idea situation is for me to find a few great people to work on a few songs each, so the commitment is realatively small, while the rewards could be great (if you are, of course, into it)!
